Who We Are
Established in 2013, Son and Sons is a collaboration between wife and husband duo, Alex Stevenson and Rob Smythson. Forged in the fires of festivals and the immersive party scene in London, the company was then honed on private events.
Rob is an experienced actor and writer, managing the performative aspects of their work, while Alex focuses on visual design.

Alex trained in Furniture Making and Product Design, but swiftly moved into theatre and beyond, cutting her teeth on the festival scene. She manages the design and build team for Son and Sons alongside working in film and television as a Scenic Painter.

Rob made his professional acting debut at 11, and has been involved in the industry ever since. Under the Sons banner he writes, directs and produces all our theatrical performances. He is always available for acting work, hosting and MCing.

We specialise creating complete, immersive worlds.
Our black book includes the design and build team, costumiers, puppeteers, musicians, magicians, acrobats, dancers, workshop facilitators, clowns and hosts, as well as the most experienced improvisers and immersive actors on the scene. This allows us to create whole, integrated teams that work to a single artistic vision from start to finish.
We only ever send the right people to the right job, and you can expect vetted, professional, charming and engaging people where and whenever you need them.
Bog End
Our home serves as our primary hub, combining our headquarters, workshop and rehearsal space.
